I have a Ford Focus and have just noticed that when I depress the clutch there is a cllunking sound from the engine. When I get up to speed the sound stops. When I slow down and change gears it starts again. Any Ideas? Also if you have an idea can I drive my car home, which is about 70 miles away from where I am.

Thanks

James

Unfortunately this could be the sound of the dual mass flywheel about to give up the ghost....if so the clunking will get worse quite quickly. I reckon it could be a good move to get the car to a Ford dealer and let them have a listen - they will have come across these before. Good luck and cheers John
