Hi all,
Think I may have some problems with one or both of the above.
I've got a Salus RT500RF, which has both the red and green lights on, but no flame light from the thermostat. This is fine as I've turned the thermostat to only bring the heating on at 16 degrees. The green light shuts of for about 5 mins then turns on again at the same time as the boiler, so the boiler turns on for 5, then shuts off for 5 ands keeps doing this. Is this a problem or is it just cycling to keep hot water on demand.
I've looked into a possible frequency problem and have removed a couple of pins from the thermostat, but when I went to turn the receiver off at the mains I can see a switch. I can see the boiler switch, shall I just flick that off so I can change the frequency switches in the receiver.
Sorry that's all a bit of a mouthful, I'm new to all this as a first time homeowner in the last few months.
Any help would be much appreciated
Rav,
Update - since I took some pins out of the thermostat the boiler has stopped cycling every 5 mins. I haven't flicked the little switches in the receiver yet as per my questions about the mains above.
2nd update - boiler has gone back to switching on then off every 5 mins.
