Post size and depth for gate

Hi there

My dad wants to replace an old gate, which is no longer there.

The gate is the 5 bar wooden type, at a span of 9' and about 4' - 4'.6" feet high.

Im thinking that a 6" x 6" post buried to a depth of 2' in concrete would be sufficient?

We hang them on 8x8's, 3 foot in the ground and back filled with concrete.
