Im new to forum. I have a potterton performa 24, which is making all the noises to fire up but does not light. The fan moves a couple mm then stops. I have had a gas engineer round who went through everything he thought it could be then diagnosed it was the pcb. He changed it and the boiler ran for a couple of days, but has now gone back to the original problem. He came back replaced a wiring loom and i think its called vermista and it ran again for a few hours. He said he has ruled out any other problems it could be and has admitted he does not know why it will not light and the only other thing is to replace the boiler, as we could just keep buying more and more parts. The boiler is over 10 years old so potterton will not do a fixed price repair. Has anyone any ideas why it will not light up and keep working please.
