We have recently moved into our house and have been having some problems with our central heating system - the boiler is a Potterton Performa 28.

Recently the boiler stopped working and the 60o light was flashing (according to the legend this means low pressure or pump problem - the pressure is fine). I tried resetting it a bunch of times and it didn't work. When the CH service guy came out later that day, he just reset it and it worked, I felt foolish.

Well tonight the 60o light is flashing again and the pilot light won't light, but it sounds like the pump is running (there is the normal noise coming from it) when the dial is set to CH setting.

In addition some of the radiators have been making a lot of noise, I have bled some of them today.

Any ideas? I don't really want to call the CH man again.... could it be an air blockage? Any help much appreciated....
