I have a Potterton Profile 60E, on which the pilot light functions correctly but randomly the main burner once ignited goes out again after 2-3 seconds leaving the system pumping cold water around with no heat to warm it...
Pressing the reset button underneath, results in the burner igniting for another 3 seconds then expiring again.
The airing cupboard water tank & radiators are all cold despite the thermostats being up high.. it looks as if the system knows it needs to heat things up, tries to, then switches off the main burner for some reason leaving the rest of it (pumps) going.
Some days everything works correctly, other days not so good.
Any suggestions appreciated.
