My E50 has an annoying intermittent fire up fault. Sometimes it starts fine when the boiler thermo says heat is required. Other times the flue fan starts then stops and starts (sometimes ten or more times with the relay clicking once each time) before eventually turning on the gas and firing up properly.
The fault diagnosis chart on the instructions says that if the fan clicks in and out constantly then 'new PCB'. But with the thing firing sometimes straight away I'm not convinced it is the board and would rather not pay £100+ to find out it isn't. I've had the board out and re-soldered the pins along one end which looked to have dodgy joints but this hasn't cured it completely though it is a little better.
Does anyone have any experience or suggestions, please?
Thanks,
Guy.
