Beware of company’s charging for parts with the problem not resolved!..
I have a Potterton Premax SL with a Fault where the Boiler fires and runs with flame for about 5-10 Seconds but then Cuts out only to go through the same sequence Exactly 10 times before running fine.However, this is an intermittent problem where it can be fine for a couple of days then reoccurs again. The company I asked to check it out First fitted the electrodes, then the PCB but did not solve the problem and and suggested it could be the gas Valve or wiring harness. However for the parts fitted they wanted to Charge me about £350 Grrrr! Which I’m not prepared to do.
Any help with this Fault on the Potterton would be greatfuly received.
