I fix that model as well as most others.
So I am fully aware of the typical faults they are accused of!
But most on that model are not due to the boiler, but a lack of routine maintenance and an owner who ignores repressurising his boiler and seeing to dripping taps.
They were not the best boiler but are still pretty good on a clean system with no dripping taps.

That tap washer would cost you £84, but only if you were on a bus route door to door.I was gona ask him about changing the washer in the tap, but being a gas safe heating engineer, im guessing the job is outside his skill set
