potterton puma 80 no heating

please help.
hot water working no problems there ,
boiler fireing up every so often but not staying on for more than 30 secs
have undone pump nut to check free all ok ,
can make boiler fire up by changing pressure upor down but will still only stay on for 30secs
had corgi fitter out last time this happened who said i had air lock , spent half an hour change no parts but got boiler working and charge me 90 quid for privalge ,
any ideas

yes , tap in bathroom dripping , could that be it ?

have tightened tap , still slightly wet around end but no excatly dripping
could this still be problem , also noticed slight drip from hot water return to boiler , could this be a problem?
