Hi,
For a few months now my boiler (Potterton Suprime 50) seems to have intermittantly locked out on me (Red light flshing twice a second). Whilst an inconenvience at first, now having to get up at 6.00 am to press the rest button was getting too much.
Also, for the past few days the heating in the house seems to have shot right up.. well above what the thermostat was set at.
After a brief bit of torublehsooting i came to the conclusion that the 3 way Divert valve, MVS322 was stuck in central heating position ( the actuator was making one hell of a buzzing sound).
So today, after reading these forums and other internet sites i have :-
1) replaced the MVS322 actuator for a new Myson one.
2) Re-solderded several of the joints in the PCB of the Suprima which most definatly looked like dry joints (ear and tear due to thermal expansion contration?). Fist stpe pripor to replacing boiler..
Will adivse if this has done the job..
Though i am concerned that the kaput 3 way divert valve is a symptom of something else..
cheers
Pete
