When left overnight boiler will light and run as normal for between 15 and 30 minutes occasionally relighting as required.Radiators will heat up
Then the green light begins to flash but soon the green light stays on and the red light flashes with the fan running -- it will stay doing this untill we turn off the timer and reset.
If left for a few hours we can get it to relight for a few minutes

The pressure switch has been changed but could it be the flow switch ?

Dont assume that Potterton will fit a new PCB free.

They refused to replace my friends because he did not have a full documented service history going back to the date the boiler was installed.

Can confirm that. They also have age limits, determined by serial number, which you have to phone and enquire about.

No they wont most of the time need to call them with the serial number first
