Potterton suprima failing to operate heating but is heating the water..

Hi
Strange one. My boiler is rather intermittently not heating. Seems to be when the schedule is enabled only for heating that it fails. I get the solid red light on the boiler.
If I turn the water on though the heating works too.
I’ve got a smart tado in place. They seem to think it could be the gas valve?
my view is that if it’s the valve then it wouldn’t work at all..? ideas?

Now solid orange light after upping the temp on the thermostat.

But as soon as I set the water to on the boiler kicks in and stays on. Does this tile out the gas valve as tado think?

The valves pictured above are not gas valves ,but motorised valves for water. Usually near your hot water cylinder. Show us pics around the pipework in that area.
They bring the boiler into operation.
