Got to do a conceteing job this week for a large concrete base. I normally just use timber to get a tamped finish but its a bit big for that. Anyone used them, if so are they fairly easy to use or any good?

take a look at a roller striker, rotating metal tube that runs along your shuttering, 3 - 4 man team.
leaves like a float finish, needs quite a high slump if you're to stiff its hard to pull.
or a magiscreed shown on web as multivibe, one man job pokers your concrete, splashes you
all up the front of your legs ;) can get heavy, once you get used to it you'll never tramp again.
brings the fat to the top and leaves a smooth finish but you get a lap joint easy troweled out with
a big blue or the magnesium bull floats. and if you haven't tried them the lightweight Texas placer
is a lot better than a rake for levelling out.
the power float is for finishing like factory floors high troweled finishes can be 18 hour day.

the thought of using a powerfloat scares the b'jesus out of me.

24 hrs in the wintertime!
