I have a calydra combi boiler thats making a whistling noise and engineer came out and tested it and says my pipes and radiators need power flushing,
can i do this myself or do i need a pro to do it ,,
any help on this please . :?:

if that is the problem ...then u need a pro really....unless you want to hire one and have a go. should come with instructions

Chaffoteaux boilers are a bit prone to make sometimes alarming noises - problem is poor circulation through heat exchanger caused by debris or a clogged CH return filter. The engineer may not have known about the filter (it's hidden away, if there is one - see manual). Best to check this first since it's a much cheaper repair. You could also try just flushing the heat exchanger to clear debris. Again vastly cheaper than complete system power flush (which may not even be necessary).
