Please can some one help?

It seems that when i have a few appliances on at the same time ie, washing machine, dryer and kettle the main mcb trips in my consumer unit. The rating of the main fuse is 63A, because of other items in the house being on and drawing power could it be possible that i am exceeding the 63A and this is causing the MCB to trip? would i need to upgrade the main MCB isolator to 100A?
I am qualified as an electrician but i haven't done any electrics in the past ten years!! and i mostly worked on offices and shops when trained so i am a little out of touch when it comes to domestic!

Please can someone advise me if i am right in my speculation above?

The thing that trips:

What is written/engraved on it please?

If you can post a pic of the Consumer Unit that would help us see what the installation is like.

BTW it may be a good idea for you to set up a different User Name, as we already have someone with a very similar handle.

I'm surprised the forum registration allows such similar names, but just to confirm, we are two different people!

Hmm Are you sure?

Or are you a Jeckyll/Hyde chap with a normal (SparkyMarky) side and an excitable side (Sparkymarky!)??

That main MCB is probably an RCD, and is not tripping on overload but because of an earth fault.

Need more info...
