I'm about to fit in a row of ikea pax wardrobes wall to wall, unfortunately there's a power socket on the wall that will be covered.

I was looking to install a floor power socket inside the base of one of the wardrobes, would this be ok? If so how would I connect to the existing socket/cable? Would a fused spur be ok? Only issue would then be getting access if fuse was to blow?
Other option was just to plug in a 4 gang and have it inside the wardrobe - again have issue with fuse.

Thanks

Plan to be built in, screwed to walls and slidin doors in front. Hmm will this be marked as cable joints inaccessible?

My first thought would be why does a built in wardrobe need to have a back? Having no back on the wardrobe would seem to completely solve the problem.

Wardrobes will be sitting off the wal around 10cm(eaves wall). As plug wash said back to make stable and make sure stuff does not fall off the shelves.

My thought would be to cut a hole in the back and then edge it somehow so the socket is still accessible.

Great idea, Ill cut a hole in the rear of a wardrobe for access to socket/switch.
Any issues with still installing a floor socket type switch into a wardrobe floor - with plug on the other end to act as a nicer looking extension socket?

Thanks
Pody
