Power to loft - Adding spur to MCB / fuse that carries ring

but a RFC is sharing the load,
Irrelevant once you get to the spurred cable.

were this could be considered a 32A radial with 2.5mm T&E
It could be, but that would be incorrect - it is a spur from a ring final.

And even it were a real radial, overload protection is provided by the BS 1362 fuses in the things plugged in, or in the FCU, and fault protection is provided by the B32.

I can't believe we keep having to have this same discussion over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

[Does the same apply to the fact that I am planning to add the cable direct to the 32A MCB in the consumer unit and that this should only be done once as well.

Coops

Coops,

You can do it as many times as you like - subject only to the amount of 2.5mm conductors that you can fit into a 32A MCB - but they must be fused spurs if they are feeding more than one single/double socket outlet. :)
