hi to all
i will say sorry now if i have put this in the wrong place as its the first time and i have only just signed up.what i am after is any info on a powercraft router 3470 the router works great but sorry to say no paper work with it and also none of the bits and bobs .so i am hopeing i can get help thro this web site .so if anybody can help me out please get in touch.

thx to a kind person i have got the info book and i will print that out later but i am after where i can get the bits from like the parallel fence ruler ,parallel fence & the guide rod,
 
i dont use the the fences in normal operation i use a baton and clamps/nails/screws
95% off my router use is with bearings or under a table
i have 6 routers and cant remember the last time i used a bar/fence

i have got a workbench so could i fix it under it so that the cutter is thro the middle and use it that way

you cannot use anything thicker than around 6mm-12mm before you start loosing capacity
this is because with a router cutter you have 1/3 the shank out off the collet[chuck] this is around 8mm so iff you surface is say 22mm thick 16mm off the cutter will not be above the surface

you need a workmate with jaws wide enough 2 clamps to hold the fence and a nvr[no volt relay]
