Hi and many thanks for your help so far.

With you advice to date and looking at the old threads I need to descale the heat exchanger.

So I am desperate to know how to go about descaling one of these, I have all the kit just not the knowledge of these particular thermal stores, hence my raising the subject again.

Have a great weekend

I can't see the reason why you think, you need to descale a 155. Baffled.

Baxpoti,

The Powermax I am working on was previously looked after by DC Heating, the owners uped and went to NZ, they used to descale them at regular intervals due to the hard water in this area, they have appeared on these pages before.

I am just after where to connect to to descale the heat exchanger. Looking at it the hot water pump looks the obvious choice? As it's a thermal store with either an OV or sealed choice, I assume
the construction will withstand a powerflush.

I really hope someone can help with this, the family have a sh**e hot water temp though flow is good, pa's left home, mothers virtually broke, sons autistic, there's not much at all in it for me but I still want to succeed.

Your help, pretty please

Dave

If she cannot afford £100 then surely its not worth you bothering? Why not advise a BG never never scheme?

The heat exchanger on a 155 is a 22mm coil, if this is scaled up then you have big problems.
