I have a Powermax 185 boiler which is only 4 years' old. The fan was replaced in August by British Gas under the Homecare cover scheme, and since then the boiler has been extremely loud when in operation - it is so loud, it wakes me up when it fires up in the morning and the boiler is situated a fair way down the hall in a cupboard. My neighbour has the same boiler and his is very quiet!
Has anyone had the same problem and is there anything I can do to reduce the noise level?
(My gas bills are extremely high too so I'm thinking this isn't the most efficient boiler cost-wise, although have recently changed supplier to see if that makes any difference).
