hi. have been in house 3 years, boiler in from new about 7 years. No problems till now. Heating on timer button will not work. I can still get hot water when switch to constant. Thermostat has also stopped working no lights and no 'click'.
Have replaced thermostat and pcb p769 but still no joy. Any help?

If the lights are dim or out on the clock it is that which will need replacing P458

Seized heating pump, pump overheat thermostat tripped, defective time or something completely different.

it is a Range. The two red lights for heating and water next to clock are dimmed.

Probably the clock, see Poxi's post above. It would need someone with a little technical ability and a multimeter to diagnose the fault for sure.

thanks for help. Ordered new p458 clock (49.99) fitted it in about 30 mins and all is now working. Thanks for help

I also have this problem on a Powermax 155x with no control of the HW & CH and dim lights on the timer. Can you tell me where you got the replacement from for £49.99.

Off an ebay site. Just typed in 'p 458' in ebay and trawled for a minute. I think it was called parts clearance centre based in bristol (no phone number). Part arrived the next day excellent service.

Thanks for that. Seems you must have had the only one as I cant seem to find one and cant find the place in Bristol. Cheapest I can find is £100!!
