Hi we have chipboard floor in our kitchen and ply in out bathroom.
We are putting vinly on top. botht he ply and chipboad are screwed down adn quite a few of the screw heads are countersunk beneath the surface. Do these need filling to stop the holes showing in the vinyl? If so what is best, sealent, caulk some tape over the top?
Second question our chipboard floor in the kitchen buts up to the skirting but there are some gaps especially near door architraves (don't know why builder didn't lay floor before architraves!). i've read you should use flowering compound to fill those gaps. What is flowering compound - is it just leveling compound?
