Prep for tiling on new plaster around bath with shower

Hi

I'm getting ready to put our bathroom back together (much to my wife's delight). Having taken two layers of tiles off, the walls have been replastered and are drying out.

I've read various things about tanking plaster/backking boards, but there doesn't seem to be much mention of tanking plaster on solid walls.

I'm guessing this is the best approach to ensure the walls stay as good as possible for as long as possible?

Any advice appreciated.
