Hi,
Over the years my garden has flooded after short showers, upon digging out the old lawn I have found the area has a thick layer of clay under the surface therefore I have decided to dig 5 - 7 inches down with a large hole in the middle to fill this with hardcore prior to laying my new artificial grass to act as a bit of soak away and hopefully stop water resting on the new grass.
Can anyone advise what would be best to use for the hardcore which would assist the drainage issues I'm having?... also a good place to buy from?
http://www.sandandgraveldirect.co.uk/index.php/hardcore/type-1-fully-certified.html - I have seen this Type 1 Full Certified Hardcore, However I did read somewhere that Limestone content wasn't good for this sort of area? This might be wrong.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?
Thank you,
Ben
