I'm decorating my lounge & Hall to landing.

We've stripped the walls of the old wood chip wallpaper  etc, he's said he will prep the walls etc but what jobs do we need to perform before he does his bit so a we don't bodge up, go over and generally make a better finish?

I'll be taking all the skirting board off as it's pretty beat up, coving is staying up, electric sockets will be sunk and any wiring, do I need to sand down the woodwork at door frames etc.

I'm generally trying to make my life easier and arrive a better finish

Wash the walls down to remove any paste residue, the spread will do the rest.
Remove sockets, switch plates, choc block and tape wires and tuck into pattress boxes.

Leave sanding till spread has finished.
