Preparing the wall for new tiles

Wondering if anyone could help me

I've removed the old tiles and a lot of the plaster came off with it

I've removed what was left of the plaster so now left with this

will the tiles be ok on the walls? the tiles are 250x400mm 8mm thick

looks ok to me, if to bad you could always put a layer of bonding over the bad areas, but again looks ok from pics. I would tile over (use a decent adhesive) the pre mixed are generally not the best.

i can't tell if thats render or bonding from that - if its render its fine, if its bonding or browning you can't (or shouldn't) tile over it
