Hi,

I'm after a bit of guidance. I've decided to re-tile a bathroom myself (how hard can it be, right!). Anyway, upon removal of the first few tiles i've noticed that the walls are concrete covered with about 2mm of plaster, with some sort of green lining on the top.
This 2mm layer of plaster is coming off with the tiles in some places, so my question is once all the tiles have been removed what is the best way to prepare the walls before putting the new tiles up. Do i need to get all the walls re-plastered?

Thanks

To do it right using the correct materials & get it to last, harder than you might think! Read the Tiling Sticky & the Tiling Forum archive posts, what you need to know is already in there.
