Hi All, hope you can help me..

I have Solid oak window and door frames which were fitted last year. When they were purchased fromt he supplier, I was advsed to use linseed oil on them once fitted - which I did. It has just taken me 6 days to sand the lot back to wood after the linseed oil went a funny thick, black coating on top of the wood - I have no idea why it happened but none the less it did!
Now I have taken it all back, I have purchased some rather pricey Osmo but before I apint it all, I wondered if there was a cleaner or something to get all the fine sawdust off the wood before painting?

Does any one have any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance
Nafe

I would give them a good wipe down with a rag soaked in white spirit and allow to dry

The reason the oak went black was probaby due to moisture
