UPDATE:
Installer has been back. I had found the leak that somehow I had missed before (a TRV had been dripping and the carpet was soaking) so that was fixed. The insane noise was fixed by lowering the pressure in the expansion vessel.
QUESTION:
Now the taps will fire out high pressure for 10 seconds or so, and then drop to a lower pressure. Is that normal? Installer assures me it is normal and due to the pressure being higher than the flow.
Installer also tells me that although I have 22mm pipework from stopcock up to the cylinder, I only have a 1/2 inch plastic pipe from the road. This may be the issue with low flow rates?? Has anyone had experience of getting the water company to upgrade the pipe from the road?
Thanks for all the help given over Christmas.
