expansion vessel

glow worm compact e100
isolated boiler, drained boiler leaving valve open bar pressure dropped to zero. removed cap on expansion vessel put pressure gauge on nothing registered pumped air in using footpump pumped up to 1 bar pressure dropped to zero. i find locating footpump difficult due to position of valve but i seem to be able to pump air in but not holding any ideas.

Diaphram is broke, air just goes in and out through water valve or pushes water out. New vessel required. If difficult to change, add another one somewhere on the system.

is this something that i can do it will it require a proffesional?

if you can drain your system cut the pipe insert a t then connect it to the new vessel
refill and vent you should be ok
