Hi there

Can anyone advise on possible causes for the following. I am a novice to the wonders of central heating systems so be gentle with me...

We have a combi boiler in the new house however we are having some problems with it. These include

Banging pipes - (I am going to try and bleed the radiators to see if this helps)
Pressure gauge appears to lose pressure - haven't a clue about this one. I have opened the cold water supply to increase the pressure to approx. 3bar however this reduces over time. Should it do this?
Hot water supply is poor - need to run taps for nearly a min before any hot water is received and even when it does arrive it isn't continuous. Cant give the kids a bath as there's never enough hot water!!!

Any guidance on working to resolve these problems would be appreciated,
