My pressure gauge needle is wobbling up and down while dhw is running. Is this normal?

Its common for the pressure gauge to move slighly up or down under DHW demand (direction is dependant on which side of the pump its connected to).

A lot of movement under hot water demand could indicate a partial heat exchanger blockage.

A rapid fluctuation of the needle may indicate traped air in the heat exchanger, slow circulation or water boiling.

ITS A IDEAL SPRINT RAPIDE RS75N. IT SITS AT ABOUT 1.5 BAR AND JUST WOBBLES UP AND DOWN WHILE DHW IS RUNNING. SORRY FOR CAPS!!

This is a very old combi - you may have air in the domestic heat exchanger (round cylinder type I think from memory). There is a bleed point on the top.

Is the presure ok ie 0.5 to 1.5 Bar cold?

How much is the gauge moving?
