Ta, that's helpful. But unless I'm missing something the system info refers to a system pressure of 1 to 1.5 bar (which?) and the expansion vessel bit says:
4.5) Use a car foot pump to pump up the Pressure Vessel to eg (See Boiler Instructions) 10 psi (0.7 bar). This pressure isn't too critical, and it will, as you have found, drop over time. A pump with a built-in gauge is needed really. Remove and refit the pump to see how much the pressure drops when you remove it and inevitably lose some air.
It doesn't mention whether the vessel should run at the same pressure as the system.
