I am using Fulham Timber Merchants Green Treated SE 4" x 4" Fence posts as the foundation for a walkway, laying them on the ground and laying scaffold boards across them. The boards I am treating with wood preserve and external decking oil but I have contradictory advice about the treated wooden fence posts
On previous posts some say they are already treated so only need to treat the ends if cut and other say they are already treated and need no more protection, yet others say they need a wood preserve like any other external wood which seems to sort of defeat the point of them being treated if I have to treat them again with wood preserve.
Can anyone advise ? Thanks
