Price For Garden Wall - Thoughts Please

Hi,

My mother wants her garden wall replacing. Its about 14m long x 0.5m high and is built in 9" brick with brick on edge to top.

It is assumed that the existing footing and maybe brick below ground can be reused.

She has been quoted 2 grand incl materials.

To me that sounds high.

What do you think?

£800 in materials (plus skips and any hired stuff) and 4 days labour for two skilled can be £1200.

I have not seen the job but can smell at least £1500.

You may get it took down and built in two very long days, but i don't know how the ground layout is effecting things or whether access is a problem or skip access.

The wall is between 2 paved driveways at front of the house so no problem re locall access or place to put skip.

Will tell her to get some more quotes.
