Why do people bother with the 20amp DP switch for controlling domestic immersion heaters anymore?

The 13amp FCU does the job perfectly well on a 3000 watt/12.5 AMP domestic immersion heater - and it
is CHEAPER than the 20amp DP switch, Screwfix catalogue shown the Crabtree 20amp DP switch as dearer than the Crabtree 13amp FCU.

Just seem a bit puzzled, as to why people fit the dearer 20amp DP switch - D66137-75 AT £4.15. ,

when the cheaper 13amp FCU - D62554-75 AT £3.99. will do just as well, is cheaper, yet still complies with the wiring regulations.

remember 230v not 240v

they are priced on par at wholesalers.

runing a 13amp fuse at 13amp is like running your car in the red constantly.
