Primer & Eggshell

I need to paint a new pine internal door.

I have some water based combined primer & undercoat. Is it acceptable to use this followed by an oil based eggshell? Or must I use an oil based primer for an oil based topcoat?

I'd like to avoid going out to buy more paint if I can use what I already have.
