Hello all,

I started this thread:

//www.diynot.com/forums/decorating/after-ive-removed-artex.300988/#2201242

over in the decorating forum. I have recently stripped off the artex from my bathroom, next up is skimming etc. I plan to use a mixture of tiles and paint on the finished wall. I have been advised that thinned emulsion will make a suitable seal/primer for the walls, but I have been advised to check here to see if this is appropriate for an area I plan on tiling. all of the info is in the thread listed above.

Your help is greatly appreciated :)

nope!

have a look at the directions on the adhesive (as some dont need a primer), but generally you need an acrylic primer - NOT pva

As ststed DO NOT paint surfaces you will be tiling.

What size/weight tiles are you proposing to use?
