Hi Folks ,
I`ve recently been having trouble printing using my hp deskjet 960c . Everytime I print a document it comes out pink and black . I`ve tried 3 different cartridges - but with no difference . However , I`ve noticed the cartridges are a couple of years past the date printed on he box ( bought a job lot a few years back) . Is this a "use by date" , and are the cartridges now useless , or could the problem be with the printer ?

Regards , Colin .

That is a recommended 'use by' date.
They should, obviously not suddenly stop working on that date but a couple of years is stretching it a bit far. The ink does dry up even in a sealed cartridge so don't blame your printer just the out of date carts.
I only ever buy enough to last 6 to 8 months even if bulk buying seems a bargain.
