Yes, I agree on getting multiple copies of the death cert, but I asked for return of all that I sent out - yet got none back. One incompetent bank I had personally handed over the cert to, along with completing the paperwork in person, yet they managed to mislay the lot, even the record of my visit.

Bank bereavement departments are OK to work with, staff in banks less so, but this particular bank insisted on my taking a trip to their nearest B&M branch some 10 miles away, to hand over paperwork and complete forms.

I ran out of certs and still needed one for NSI just to check if Earnie had won anything. From memory the extra cert cost £10, there were 7 £1 share certs, held since the 1950's, but they only refunded on 6 so £4 out of pocket on the deal.

I thought I had found a copy of the will @.gov.uk
I applied for a copy but its a letter of Administration, to the solicitor who was going to act prior to the will being found.
