Hi All
New to this forum, have read through a few posts but can't find any help with my problem.

My boiler is a wickes 2000, made by halstead

Have just installed a new divertor diaphragm, have done this a few times, (soon as i see small chunks of rubber in the bath, I know its time to get out the tools) but this time the boiler simply refuses to fire up.

Any ideas or info would be much appreciated

these boilers suffer from ignition and flame supervison leads shorting out on the main casing due to heat and grommet hole

more info on what is happening. may have over stat that needs reseting manually

Thanks for the reply corgigazza,
The boiler seems to be behaving like it should, i.e, The diverter is working ok, and you can hear it switching the microswitch as it lifts up.

Just simply refuse to ignite. on either water or heating demand.

Looks like I need an engineer !

It's a Halstead Quattro in drag - literature is on their website.

It's not just the system water pressure is it?

Water pressure is unchanged, and is more than high enough.
Didn't know it was a quattro though, thanks.

worked on one of these today pump had jammed and tripped oh stat.

check over heat stat located top r/h side in the middle has push rod sitting on stat button and shaft protrudes out of top case.

Is pump working and if not is there power to it, if o/h goes lockout light will not reset and pump runs,

Pump is running fine gazza, Kicks in when it should on heating, Just bloody thing wont fire.
Have Checked voltage and continuity on all obvious points and all seems fine.
Got a feeling its the ignition board that is the problem, also found a split in the heat exchanger and now I am opting for a new combi.

Thanks for all your input and suggestions
