I was advised to bleed my radiators of air and went and bought a key and bled the radiators in no particular order. This seemed to go well until I switched the heating on and the boiler after a couple of minutes of firing up would close down and start thudding inside, like it had trapped air. There is a pipe running from the boiler that has a escape valve, which I think is the hot water pipe, but I haven't tried that yet as I don't want to do something that will cause more problems. Please help with some advice. It is a Potterton boiler fitted probably around 1998. Thanks[/quote]
