Timer replaced but still no working boiler. Apparently when the timer blew it also blew the circuit board. This is getting replaced tomorrow

Because these engineers work in customers homes and not under direct supervision many of them make up most amazing statements when talking to customers.
Few customers make any complaint and so they continue to make them.
In this case its been suggested that the design of mounting bracket allows a little movement of the boiler even when the bracket is firmly and correctly fixed to the wall.
