Just used my dishwasher. When the cycle finished i opened the door and it sounded as though something had blown, and the electrics tripped. Put the trip switch back up and switched the dishwasher on but the prog lights are not lighting up. Has anybody got any idea as to what could be the problem?

Sound like you pcb has blown. It may or may not have been caused by the failure of another component. You could try removing the pcb & inspecting it for damage/blown components/tracks etc. If you don't feel confident enough to do it yourself call qualified assistance. Good luck :D

Thanks for reply zipper. Where about is the pcb located and if it is the problem, are they costly to purchase?

Sorry for the late reply. You would have to remove the plastic control panel at the front to find the pcb (it's fitted on the right hand side under the panel). Don't forget to pull the plug before you start! A new pcb could cost anywhere from 85 to 130 pounds depending on where you buy it. This is what it looks like http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Dish...andy+Hoover+Dishwasher+Electronic+Module.html
However should you find that the pcb is damaged maybe you ought to give these people a call & ask for a repair quote http://www.emwelec.co.uk/ It would work out much cheaper & they should also be able to tell you if the fault was caused by the failure of another component. Be sure to state the full machine details when asking for a quote. Good luck :D

Thanks for the reply zipper.....finally got it working. Turned out to be a wiring problem, which cost £88 in all that's with the £30 call out fee and them taking it into the workshop £30. :D
