My old Horstman HRFS-1 needed replacing as it was no longer switching to the valve even with the green light showing.
Have just installed replacement of same model with resulting problem that as soon as the stat causes the green light to ignite, it and the adjacent red light start flashing in unison accompanied by a loud clicking, suggesting the internal switch is failing to remain closed. Thus far, I've set the new unit to the same settings as the old one. I've also been using the old transmitter assuming this would operate the new receiver. Have also now remade the red, white and blue connections to ensure no issues at those points.
What an I doing wrong or is it a suspect new receiver?
