Noticed what appears to be weird behaviour from our (Ideal Classic) boiler, it often seems to be dropping and reigniting the flame over and over

any ideas?

Thanks

obviously I would not touch anything related to the gas side of things so if its that side then just some idea so I can judge possible costs :)

Yes, it will be a gas/combustion issue which we cannot advise on here.

Usually fairly simple cause and often a symptom of a lack of servicing. But could be the PCB.

Presumably you have a gas cooker which has a stable flame when the boiler is running?

So likely to be about £84 to £184.

Thank you so much, that makes sense as it hasn't ever been serviced (15yrs) I will get someone booked in, it's good to have an idea so that you can be a little knowledgeable when the repair folks come

Its also good to get it serviced occasionally.

Just shows how reliable that model is even when never serviced!
