We have a potterton combi boiler and haven't used it over summer. Went to turn on the boiler and the pilot light/flame stays ignited when heating water, however, when the heating is turned on the flame stays on until the pressure starts rising up, when it reaches around 2 mb of pressure the flame dies and lockout comes on. The millibar pressure is on 1 when cool. Hope you can help. I would be grateful for any advice?

It is a Potterton Combi 80. It doesn't get to a heat and the boiler is cool to touch the radiators aren't getting hot. It is very noisy before it dies! Any suggestions please????? Would be grateful!

Thanks for your advice Kevplumb. Is this something a DIYer can fix? Can you advise what I need to do to fix. Thanks in advance.

HAS ANYONE GOT THE USER GUIDE for the Potterton Combi 80. Can't seem to find it anywhere on the net? Thanks for your help. Drena

QUite llikely your pump has stuck. Undo the screwy thing on the end - may be a screw or a hex plug. pull and turn if its the latter. If a screw comes out (dribbles) insert small screwdrive to turn pump. SHould be able to feel it turning when the pump runs.
