Hi

i bought a wall tap on ebay quite some time ago and have only just got round to fitting it on.

this is the tap. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-CONCEPT-W...LLER-W108_W0QQitemZ370150574950QQcmdZViewItem

the back of the tap has a threaded hole on either side.

i used one of these http://www.lbatech.com/var/62/8640-tb-UnionSS.jpg without the two end nuts and screwed it inro the hole at the back of the tap, and then joined this onto my pipework using a flexipipe.

the whole connection is fine except at the part where this part http://www.lbatech.com/var/62/8640-tb-UnionSS.jpg meets the hole at the back of the tap.

i have tried ptf tape and even tried putting an olive inside it but no matter what i do it still leaks. i got so fed that i even tried to stop the leak with solder.

what can i do? why is it leaking?

im at the end of my thether! please help!

The threads will be different. You are trying to use a compression fitting to do the job of a proper connector.

Without knowing the proper details of the tap it is hard to say exactly what you will need but i would think it would be this : http://www.screwfix.com/prods/27936...xible-Tap-Tails-10mm-x-15mm-x-300mm-Pack-of-2

These are available in 12mm aswell but like i said without full details of the tap then its hard to tell. If you can post more info then do if not measure the size of connection at the rear of the tap.

The hole at the back of the tap where the pipe fits into is about the size of a 10p coin and is threaded on the inside. I don't have the exact dimaeter but will post it up shortly.
