Hi, I currently have the above mentioned boiler fitted in my home. For the last 3 1/2 years every now and then it would trip out and I would have to press the reset button to get the heating/hot water working again.
This hasn't been too much of a problem until recently where the boiler will sometimes refuse to heat the hot water for taps but works fine for the radiators.
I have noticed that the gauges on the front of the boiler no longer appear to work correctly, the temp gauge needle points to about what would be -20 when the heating/hot water is not being used (it actually drops down into the markings for the boiler pressure)
The pressure gauge reads 0 bar or less sometimes. It does rise slightly when the heating/water is in use. I have tried adding pressure from the main water inlet up to the recommended pressure but this seems to make the problem worse.
Anyone got any idea what is going on with this boiler?
I bought the house off the council 2 years ago and the boiler is a little over 10 years old.
If it comes down to me having to replace the boiler what is the average cost of having a new one fitted?
